Thunder Over the Heartland

Thunder Over the Heartland returns to Forbes Field (home of the 190th Air Refueling Wing, Kansas Air National Guard) for a three-day 2027 edition: Friday and Saturday feature signature night shows with pyrotechnics and nighttime aerobatics, while Sunday is a traditional day show closing with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. The event has had an inconsistent run in recent years — a 2025 edition was cancelled and 2026 shifted to a September date — so this 2027 date, while confirmed by the organizer, is worth reconfirming closer to the show.
