The Blue Angels return to the 101st National Cherry Festival (running July 3-10, 2027) for a free, FAA-cleared performance over West Grand Traverse Bay, viewable from Open Space Park’s “Flight Deck” area. The team has a longstanding relationship with the festival dating to 1988; the 2026 festival’s own air show instead features the F-16 Viper Demo Team.
